Dunlop Creek, early spring

36 × 30 in • Acrylic on Canvas

Description

There is so much that I love about being near Dunlop Falls in spring: the rush of water and damp cool air, the cathedral forest of trees just waiting to leaf out, and carpets of leaves from the previous autumn. I was particularly drawn to the pool of water being held by the tree trunk that creates stillness amidst so much water movement.
